So what now. . . .

My Goal

My goal was to raise $9000 +
This allowed for:
$3000 for the play equipment
$2000 for the basketball tower and key
$3000 for the gardens/ landscaping- includes grass, bark chips, plants etc
$1000 for the interior decorating and themed painting of the kids shed

Alltogether (including 'in-kind' support from the Playford Council and donated goods) i have raised apprx. $25000. - So thankyou to everyone who helped us get to this amazing total and all of this has gone straight to the project leaving none of it wasted.

In the end, as much as $25000 seems a lot of money, we didn't have enough money to spend a lot on the gardens. So it was greatly appreciated to everyone who donated Aggies and other plants.

Just over $3000 was spent on the play equipment and about $2000 (not including 'in-kind' support from the Playford Council) was spent on the basketball key and tower.

Inside the shed we ended up spending a bit more money so we could leave NCOH set up with supplies and a children's ministry that was built with excelence- to the best of our abilities and available resources.

What if I still want to help?

Just because my 'school project' has finished, it doesn't mean our relationship with NCOH will end here.

I still plan to one day go back and start 'Stage 2' of NCOH Reno.

Although this may not be in the near future that I will get see my other dreams and desires fall into place and it may not even be at NCOH, but this won't stop NCOH moving forward and taking new ground in the community. So if you would like to help NCOH with their Stage 2, I know that Ps Bryan and Jill and even Mr John Roberts would all have their dreams, desires and ideals and love any help you can offer them.

What I would love to see happen

As I said before I have my dreams for NCOH and these are just some of them:

To use the new vegetable garden beds and to-be bought new oven and other kitchen equipment to really open up their friday lunch times and start having workshops not only to look after their community but to teach their community real life skills and to give their community motivtion to practise these life skills.

To have a paved area (in the middle of a grassed area) with park benches and tables with lighting and heating and even some sort of shades to go over it. All of this surrounded by nice gardens.

With the instruments used for sunday worship open up a music centre where local kids (currently without the oppertunity to have lessons) can come and have music lessons and learn an instrument.
